This is a phenomenal basketball hoop!! Its sturdiness (notwithstanding my comment below) and backboard make other hoops seem like a child's toy. The backboard has great feel and bounce such that it is not just very forgiving by absorbing the shock like cheaper backbords.
The ease and speed to put it up and down is fantastic. The versatility of being able to lower it away, pretty much out of sight is incredibly useful.

HOWEVER, we have only had it 6 weeks and it is broken due to a very weak plastic part that is simply not fit for purpose. We have only used it 5 times! As other customers have mentioned, the little plastic interface (Product Ref. 8772626) between the handle and the main ratchet to raise and lower the net is in no way capable of taking the stress and load needed when turning to raise the hoop (no real load when lowering).

I have been on to my local Decathlon and the part will not be in for a few weeks. Unfortunately my kids have upcoming cup finals and I wanted them to get extra shooting practice. So we have a piece of sports equipmemt that cost nearly €1,000 sitting folded up outside - can't help feeling cheated!

Even if we could get it, sure it only costs €4 to replace, but I would estimate that you would go through a few of them every year. They need to go back to the drawing board on this part as it has put a real downer on an otherwise fantastic bit of kit.

J'écris en tant que président d'un club de basket. J'ai acheté 2 paniers de basket comme celui-ci, 6 mois après, le panneau du panier est tombé subitement sur l'un de mes entraineurs, celle-ci est partie à l'hôpital. Les conséquences auraient pu être encore plus dramatique si un enfant était passé dessous à ce moment là. C'est absolument inadmissible, ce produit est dangereux, je déconseille fortement son achat.

Nous avons acheté 2 paniers pour notre association de basket. Les 2 sont cassés au niveau du kit système de réglage. Ce système semble très fragile dans le carde d'une utilisation très régulière. A phenomenal Hoop but with a dealbreaker flaw!

This is a phenomenal basketball hoop!! Its sturdiness (notwithstanding my comment below) and backboard make other hoops seem like a child's toy. The backboard has great feel and bounce such that it is not just very forgiving by absorbing the shock like cheaper backbords.
The ease and speed to put it up and down is fantastic. The versatility of being able to lower it away, pretty much out of sight is incredibly useful.

HOWEVER, we have only had it 6 weeks and it is broken due to a very weak plastic part that is simply not fit for purpose. We have only used it 5 times! As other customers have mentioned, the little plastic interface (Product Ref. 8772626) between the handle and the main ratchet to raise and lower the net is in no way capable of taking the stress and load needed when turning to raise the hoop (no real load when lowering).

I have been on to my local Decathlon and the part will not be in for a few weeks. Unfortunately my kids have upcoming cup finals and I wanted them to get extra shooting practice. So we have a piece of sports equipmemt that cost nearly €1,000 sitting folded up outside - can't help feeling cheated!

Even if we could get it, sure it only costs €4 to replace, but I would estimate that you would go through a few of them every year. They need to go back to the drawing board on this part as it has put a real downer on an otherwise fantastic bit of kit.

J'écris en tant que président d'un club de basket. J'ai acheté 2 paniers de basket comme celui-ci, 6 mois après, le panneau du panier est tombé subitement sur l'un de mes entraineurs, celle-ci est partie à l'hôpital. Les conséquences auraient pu être encore plus dramatique si un enfant était passé dessous à ce moment là. C'est absolument inadmissible, ce produit est dangereux, je déconseille fortement son achat.

Ce produit n'est pas homologué pour un usage en club ou collectivité, même si ses avantages (compacité facilité d'utilisation, qualité de jeu) sont très intéressants pour ce genre de structure. Il se peut donc que vos conditions d'utilisation aient contribué à ce malencontreux incident.
Néanmoins, il se peut aussi qu'il y ait eu un défaut sur le produit que vous avez acheté, car en dépit de toutes les analyses de risque, précautions en conception et contrôles en production que nous réalisons, le risque zéro n'existe pas.

Nous avons acheté 2 paniers pour notre association de basket. Les 2 sont cassés au niveau du kit système de réglage. Ce système semble très fragile dans le carde d'une utilisation très régulière. De plus cela fait 2 mois que le kit est indisponible donc que nos jeunes basketteur ne peuvent pas profiter des paniers. Je déconseille cet achat pour des clubs de basket.

Cela va faire une semaine que j’ai testé ce panier de basket avec mon fils de sept ans qui joue en club en catégorie U9 et il est super content et moi aussi! Nous faisons de très bonnes parties de basket avec ce panier qui est de très bonne qualité avec un design magnifique pour un prix pas très excessif par rapport à la concurrence.
