      How is volume measured?

      The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: we fill the main compartment, as well as each pocket, with little balls. Then, we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
      The main bag’s volume capacity is 23 L.
      We have measured the volume with the 2 water bottle outer side pockets, its total capacity reaches 25 L.

      The back, shoulder straps & handle are comfortable because of their thickness and construction composed of different types of foam padding covered with a 3D mesh to improve ventilation & drying.
      The chest strap has cushioning, & its height and width is adjustable.
      - Back: 5 pads made from 2 types of foam (PE - PU) 15 mm thick,
      - Shoulder straps made from 2 types of foam (EVA - PU) 8-13 mm thick.

      WATERPROOFING

      The components of the bag are water-repellent so that you can temporarily continue walking/hiking in light rain.

      To ensure the bag is strong enough, we conduct laboratory tests on the components and seams, which replicate the long-term wear and tear that the backpack will endure.
      For example, for a fabric, we test the resistance to abrasion and tearing, the colour fastness when exposed to UV light and washing, and the waterproofing.

      How to adjust your backpack?

      - Put the bag on,
      - Buckle the chest strap, adjust the height and width,

      How to fill your backpack?

      Put your heavy items in the bottom and the laptop, picnic items for example in the intended places. Pack your clothes around these items;

      - Water bottle(s) will go in the outer side pockets intended for this purpose.

      Déçu car Decathlon a dégradé le sac sur le modèle 2025, sans doute par économie. 3 poches ont disparus par rapport à l'ancienne version. Une poche d'accessoires dans le compartiment principal, une poche zippée "secrète" sur le côté du sac que je trouvais pratique, ainsi que la poche que j'utilisais le plus dans mon ancien sac : une poche zippée dans le 1er compartiment du sac qui servait à mettre mes clés (il ne reste que le support pour clé). Quel dommage le sac était bien plus fonctionnel dans l'ancienne configuration.
      Si quelqu'un de Decathlon lit ce message, si vous avez encore en stock la précèdente version du sac, je vous échange le miens dans la seconde. Merci
