What are they compatible with?
The bushings are compatible with longboards mounted with inverted trucks:
Fish 500
Pintail 520
Free 520
Drop Mini
Dance 500
The bushings are not compatible with skateboard trucks (MID 100, MID 500, TEAM) and cruiser trucks (Yamba, Big Yamba, Yamba 500, Yamba 900)
What are bushings for?
Bushings are urethane pieces mounted on the trucks. There are two per truck: one above the hanger (the wheel axle) and the other between the hanger and the base plate (the flat plate fixed to the deck)
The bushings let the truck tilt smoothly.
You can adapt the trucks' resistance by using bushings of different hardnesses and shapes.
Which combo should you use for your skateboard or longboard?
The kit includes 2 shapes: 4 cones and 4 barrels.
Possible combos:
1/ Cone / Cone: the softest set-up which will accentuate the angle on turns but will also be less stable (perfect for carving)
2/ Barrel / Barrel: the most solid set-up which will provide good stability but will turn less (perfect for downhill)
3/ Cone / Barrel: classic set-up that provides a happy medium between the other 2
Which hardness is right for you?
The choice of hardness depends on your weight and skating style.
The more you weigh, the harder your bushings will need to be (and vice versa).
In general,
< 80 kg: 88a
> 80 kg: 92a
To be adapted based on your set-up (cone/cone, cone/barrel, etc.)
There is no one-size-fits-all rule. You should therefore try out the different possibilities to see which best suits your style or your desired sensations.
