Why should children have synthetic ventilated socks?

Following a study by our research laboratory on the thermal comfort of children, we found that they sweat on their feet twice as much as adults on average.
That's why they should have socks that wick away perspiration (ventilated and synthetic) during their sports practice, e.g. athletics, and always have a clean pair of socks so they can change afterwards, in order to reduce the unpleasant odours.
