      TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

      Grammage and composition: what they mean

      The thickness of the fabric is expressed in grams per square metre. This is called grammage. For judo, it's best to have a uniform in robust fabric that holds up during not only grips but in the wash as well!
      That's why we chose a fabric in 65% cotton and 35% polyester: it holds up better to pulling and washing.
      And with its 550g/m² grammage, it's the perfect weight for intermediate judo!

      A collar designed for your sport:

      Judo is a grappling combat sport: you grab the uniform of your opponent to get them on the ground. So to facilitate your training, we've designed a neckline with a wider back and an EVA foam edge. This makes grabbing much easier.
      The collar is also curved for a more elegant look. This means your uniform jacket fits your body and will naturally lie in a closed position.

      The design of the 500 judo uniform

      We've designed a judo uniform adapted to your sport so you can progress without constraints: the sleeve length, looseness at the shoulders and fitted waist let you move with ease.
      And with the rice-grain and diamond patterns it follows the aesthetic codes of judo.
      And the bottoms? They are more robust at the knees for floor-based combat and have a traditional cord fastening at the waist.

      INTRODUCING A TALENTED MARTIAL ARTS TEAM...

      Enrique, Laurent, Marie and Louis: 3 black belts between the 4 of them and the desire to create a uniform adapted to your level and style!
      The uniform went through many designs, prototypes and tests with the Sainghin judo club near Lille, France to achieve this.
      Laurent, the product engineer, says: "We wanted a comfortable judo uniform which you could look and feel good in. The 500 judo uniform is the work of Marie, our garment designer, and the careful work of Enrique, our product manager."

      Enrique, Outshock product manager, talks about the benefits of judo:

      "I come from karate and one thing always impressed me with judo - this idea of strength and ease at the same time. Judokas practise with an elegance that is really great to see. I also like the idea that the dojo is more than just a place: you learn a lot about yourself outside those four walls. These are the values that I found at Outshock and that we want to share in our judogis."

      CHOOSING YOUR UNIFORM SIZE

      Choosing the right size uniform depends on your height!
      Uniforms range from 160 to 200 cm. We recommend choosing a uniform which is at least 5 cm bigger than your height. For example, if you are 1.74 m, choose a 180 cm uniform.

      How to take care of your uniform

      We suggest airing out your uniform after every use. To keep it white, be sure to wash it regularly. One pointer? Wash on a cold wash for the first few times.
      When you dry it, it's best to let it air dry and avoid using the dryer.

      Après plus de 20 ans à utiliser des kimono Decathlon, il s'agit du plus mauvais produit : le col et le reste du kimono ne sont pas dans la même matière, ils ne sèchent pas de la même manière, ne réagissent pas de la même manière. L'extérieur du col peut plisser et l'intérieur du col se désolidarise du "tissus" extérieur. En confiance, j'en avais acheté 4 en quelques semaines pour refaire les stocks... Erreur !!!
