TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
Why a zipped reversible jacket?
Before the age of 5, children do not recognise when clothing is inside out. To help them be more independent and put their clothes on the right way, our design team created a reversible zip-up sweatshirt with an easy-to-use zip for even more autonomy.
As an added bonus for parents: it's reversible! The perfect feature to have in case your little one stains their product!
Kids and the ordeal of getting dressed
Age 2 to 3 is when kids start to assert their independence by dressing themselves without help. Does your toddler want to do things on their own, but can't always manage because they lack the dexterity? Fastening up their zip-up sweatshirt, putting on bottoms the right way round, slipping on a jumper without getting their head stuck... life can be hard for little ones!
Helping kids to dress themselves
Our design team set themselves the challenge of helping kids dress independently at as young an age as possible. We use easy-to-close zips, stretch fabrics, wide necklines and fits that won't leave kids stuck, visual markers to help them put clothing on the right way around, and more! Thanks to this little helping hand, your child will gradually get to grips with dressing themselves like the big kids.
Partnering with a physiotherapist
We design our products with the support of a physiotherapist to understand how we can make kids more autonomous through our clothing. "The challenge is to prevent kids from becoming discouraged. You need to give them actions that they can see are possible so that they'll repeat them until they become automatic and something they can use more generally," explains Agathe, our partner physiotherapist
60 minutes of daily physical activity
Did you know that to stay healthy, your child should get at least 180 minutes of physical activity every day according to WHO recommendations? And at least 60 minutes should be moderate to vigorous from age 3!
Regular physical activity from a very young age is beneficial for your child's physical and mental development. Learning healthy habits early on can help limit health problems later in life and improve their self-esteem.
