      TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

      Fit and sizing information

      Good coverage for hikers between 157 and 173cm in height (size S/M) or 174 and 190cm (size L/XL) and carrying a 60L maximum backpack.
      Hood can be tightened thanks to elasticated drawcord and stopper toggle.
      The ends of the sleeves are cuffed with an elastic binding that prevents water from entering your sleeves.
      This rain cape is easy to get on and off thanks to its long front zip which slips easily over the head.

      Additional recommended products

      To complete your outfit, we recommend overtrousers or waterproof gaiters to fully protect your lower legs. For greater breathability, the waterproof hat can also be attached to the poncho!

      Component waterproofing

      We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard).
      The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric.
      Components scoring 2,000mm can resist the pressure from 2,000mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hours).

      Waterproofing of the garment

      This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.

      Breathability of the poncho

      Our rain poncho and cape ranges do not come with a waterproof/breathable membrane.
      Therefore, we recommend calm, gentle use to reduce perspiration rather than fast hiking!

      Component water resistance

      The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed throughout the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes). All Quechua ponchos and capes have a water-repellent treatment.

      Avoir un Poncho de pluie qui vous couvre de la tête aux mollets et en couvrant votre sac de randonnée par la même occasion, c'est génial !

      Le véritable intérêt se trouve dans l'étanchéité parfaite (hormis saut dans une grosse marre) qui empêche l'humidité de se frayer un chemin par vos sangles de sac.

      Je ne peux encore juger de l'imperméabilité puisque je ne l'ai pas encore utilisé en situation mais après l'avoir essayé, à première vue la conception est intéressante.
      La fermeture éclair sur l'avant aide à l'enfiler et à l'enlever plus facilement, la capuche est par mail et le col monte haut.

      En revanche je suis déçue par les élastiques des manches qui ne sont clairement pas assez serrés et si vont a coup sûr laisser passer l'eau que la couche du dessous.
      Bémol aussi sur les ouvertures qui permettent d'attraper des choses sous la pèlerine : l'idée est bonne mais ces "poches" ne ferment pas, ce sont juste des ouvertures... Donc je crains un peu le résultat sous une pluie battante.

      À voir à l'usure mais autant les idées sont bonnes autant la réalisation pourrait être un peu plus aboutie.
      Je m'attendais à mieux mais ça reste pourtant une des meilleures pèlerine que j'ai vue, ne serait ce que pour ses manches.
