      Capacity

      The bag has a 45 L volume with an extension for carrying an additional 10 L. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method. we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in litres, with a margin of error of just a few %.

      AIR design

      As with the MT900 UL line, the MT500 AIR range has a ventilated back structure with mesh fabric (net fabric) that helps the back to breathe and dries quickly. Rigidity is guaranteed by a reinforced frame. The back is adjustable with a release strap that’s easy and quick to use.

      Polyamide main fabric 210D RS (Ripstop = increased resistance to tears), reinforced bag base (420Dx330D RS)

      Recommended carry weight

      According to the project for which this backpack was designed, we recommend you don’t load it above 15 kg. Then you can benefit from all its features. Moreover, it’s not recommended to carry a load greater than 20-25% of your own weight and put too much pressure on your back.

      How to pack a backpack?

      Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.

      How to use the multi-use straps?

      The new range of MT500 AIR and MT900 UL bags has two straps with open aluminium buckles (on the lower part of the bag). These straps let you hook on a tent or mattress under the bag or on the barrel. If not in use, these straps can be stored (by pushing them inside) in the hidden pocket intended for this or detached and used elsewhere with the lark's head knot buckle.

      Female body shape

      Our women's models are adapted to their body shape (chest and hips) with a more open shoulder strap shape and a higher fitted belt for greater comfort and freedom of movement.

      sac bien conçu , j'ai mis un bon moment a trouver la bonne hauteur de reglage ( je mesure 1'50 m) mais une fois trouvé, le sac est parfait en plus pour ranger a l'interieur sous les 2 fermetures qui permettent d'ouvrir le sac sur le devant, il y a des sangles de serrage, qui permettent de tout rentrer et avoir un acces facile , sans tout sortir.

      Malheureusement j'ai acheté ce sac sans avoir pu le tester auparavant chargé. Peut être est du à ma morphologie, mais il me fait mal dans le bas du dos au niveau du bassin, créant un gros inconfort sur une randonnée de courte durée 4h... je n'ose pas imaginer sur une longue durée.

      Ce sac est bien pour des randonnées légères et pour des durées courtes à moyennes à mon goût. Les rangements sont à optimiser par exemple les poches latérales gênent avec une grande gourde, les sangles intérieures rajoutent du poids et ne servent pas forcément...
      Bref globalement on est sur un bon produit pour un débutant en randonnée ou des gens qui n'ont pas beaucoup de moyens car il reste très fonctionnel.
