TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

First use

Before first use, rinse the bottle, top and filter with drinking water (3 x 1 minute).
When using for the first time or whenever the filter is dry, fill the bottle with water, screw on the cap and leave to stand for a few minutes to prime the filter. Then draw in 5 quick sips to enable the water to flow.

Directions for use

Rinse your bottle and the drinking water filter to remove dust and impurities.
Fill the bottle with fresh water (avoid stale and stagnant water) from the best source available without polluting the teat or cap. The more clear and clean the water is before filtering (lack of impurities) the longer your filter will last.
Be careful not to drink water that flows the length of your bottle when drinking.

Advice for use (continued)

Make sure that the bottle and filter are tightly closed.

The filter will stop allowing water to pass through when it has reached the end of its life.
If you can no longer suck the water, it is time to replace the part that contains the filter.
Thoroughly dry your filter after use.

Filtration system

We chose a micro-filtration technology with a membrane (hollow fibre) that eliminates up to 99.9999% of bacteria (eg : Escherichia coli, Vibrio cholerae, etc.) as well as 99.9% of protozoan parasite cysts (eg: Cryptosporidium parvum, Giardia lamblia), organisms which cause illnesses passed on through water. This greatly reduces the risk of contracting diseases such as diarrhoea, dysentery or giardiasis.

Care tips

After each use, unscrew the cap, rinse the bottle, top and filter with drinking water and allow to dry thoroughly. Before washing the bottle, remove the filter.Do not put the filter in the dishwasher. Do not try to clean the fibres in the plastic housing. If in doubt, change the filter.

Storage advice

Store in a cool, clean and dry place after completely drying the product.
If, when you reuse the filter, you find that the water no longer passes through it or only with great difficulty, here's what to do.
Immerse the filter in clean, clear water for about 15 minutes to dissolve any dirt that may have stuck to the surface of the filter membrane. Then rinse the filter and leave it to dry.
It should be back to its best.

Caution

Drinking untreated water and improper use can expose you to harmful micro-organisms and increase the risk of gastrointestinal disorders. To reduce the risks involved, follow the safety guidelines and instructions for use, and find out about the suitability of the water for human consumption in remote areas.
Never use to filter sea water or chemically treated water.Viruses are not filtered by this hollow fibre filter.
Do not drop.
