Thermal insulation and warmth

Sleep on the aluminised side, facing the sleeping bag with the foam side on the ground to minimise losses of body heat.
R-Value 1.3 (measured by EMPA, an independent laboratory).
The R-Value is a measure of the thermal performance and insulation. The higher the R-Value, the more your mattress will insulate you from the ground.
An R-Value of 5.9 is equivalent to a minimum temperature rating of about -24°C. 0.7 is equivalent to a temperature rating of +11°C.
The R-Value is not a standard.
